About Us

Our
Story
At the Institute of BioAcoustic Biology and Sound Health, we've been dedicated to the exploration of the intricate relationship between human health and sound since our founding in 1982. Our team is deeply committed to pioneering research and the practical application of BioAcoustic Biology, an innovative field that originated with Sharry Edwards. Through the utilization of sound frequencies and voice analysis, we meticulously decipher the complex patterns found within the human voice, offering advanced, non-invasive methods for health assessment and therapy. With our ongoing commitment to research, education, and training, we're proud to be leaders in advancing the understanding and promotion of holistic health and wellness through the transformative power of sound.

About Sharry Edwards™
Sharry Edwards, MEd, is a pioneer in the field of BioAcoustic Biology and the founder of Sound Health. With a background in education, she has dedicated more than four decades to exploring the relationship between the human voice, sound, and frequency patterns.
Edwards developed BioAcoustic Biology, an educational discipline that examines vocal characteristics and Frequency Equivalents™ to better understand individual form, function, and communication. Her work combines research, technology, and innovative software tools designed to study the unique information contained within the human voice.
In 2021, Edwards was recognized as Scientist of the Year for her groundbreaking contributions and lifelong commitment to advancing the field. Through her research, educational programs, and professional training, she has inspired students and practitioners worldwide to explore the connections between voice, frequency, and human potential.
Today, Sharry continues to lead the development of BioAcoustic technologies and educational resources while mentoring the next generation of practitioners and lifelong learners in the principles of BioAcoustic Biology.
