Clinical Assessment Process
Step 1: Complete the Clinical Assessment Application
Complete and submit the online Clinical Assessment Application below.
Once your application has been received, our Clinical Coordinator will contact you by email with the next steps.
Please Note:
-
BioAcoustic Clinical Assessments are conducted for educational and research purposes.
-
Every application is reviewed by our Clinical Committee.
-
Due to the personalized nature of the process, there is typically a 4–6 week waiting period before an assessment can begin.
Step 2: Application Review
Our Clinical Committee will review your application to determine whether it meets our current research criteria.
If your application is accepted, your vocal assessment will be scheduled for review by Sharry Edwards.
If you have questions during this process, please contact a team member at info@soundhealthoptions.com.
BioAcoustic Solutions reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet current research requirements.
Step 3: Submit Your Vocal Print
Once your application has been approved, you will receive detailed instructions for recording and submitting your vocal print.
We recommend using Audacity, a free recording program.
Important: When downloading Audacity, select "Download without Muse Hub" to avoid being prompted for an optional subscription. Audacity itself is completely free.
Step 4: Voice Analysis
After your vocal print has been received, you will be invoiced $300 for your Clinical Voice Analysis.
Your assessment includes:
-
Comprehensive vocal frequency analysis
-
Clinical report
-
Consultation to review your results
If additional support is recommended, you may choose to continue with Tone Trials.
Step 5: Tone Trials and Tone Box
Following your assessment, recommendations may include individualized Tone Trials to determine the most appropriate frequency combinations for your specific concerns.
If a Square Two™ Tone Box is recommended and you choose to continue, there is an additional fee of $470.
Participation in Tone Trials is optional.
What are Tone Trials?
Tone trials involve the identification and utilization of the most suitable tones for your concerns following the analysis of your voice print by a BioAcoustic Practitioner. During this period, they collaborate with you to pinpoint frequencies that effectively address the concerns specified in your Clinical Application Form, offering a tailored approach to enhance your well-being.
How Tone Trials Work
After a Voice Print is captured, computer analysis is used to determine the most appropriate frequencies that will be evaluated during tone trials. These frequencies are established using information supplied by the referring physician, reported concerns from the client, data from voice prints, comparisons with other clients who have similar concerns, and the client's responses during sound presentation.*
Sound presentation, BioAcoustically speaking, is the delivery of analog-sequenced frequency sets through headphones or speakers that are individually constructed for a client using information obtained from a voice print by a trained BioAcoustic Practitioner.
Once a BioAcoustic Practitioner has identified the frequencies to be tested, the next step is to determine the most suitable form of feedback to establish the appropriate tones for long-term sound presentation. During tone trials, both objective and subjective feedback are used to refine the formula sets. Positive and negative emotional and physiological responses help establish the specific frequencies, appropriate combinations, and duration for individualized sound presentation.
Clients are then positioned comfortably for testing, which may be standing, sitting, or lying down. Individual tones are presented for approximately 30–60 seconds, after which clients are asked to describe any physical or emotional responses they experience. Depending on the area being evaluated, tones may be presented for up to two minutes. Data is collected throughout the session to monitor biofeedback responses and further refine the individualized sound formulas.
For educational and research purposes, Tone Trials may occasionally be observed or video recorded by BioAcoustic trainees. A client's privacy is always protected unless specific written permission has been granted.
The goal of Tone Trials is to determine the most effective combinations of frequencies that can be programmed into a Square Two™ Tone Box—a personalized analog frequency generator designed to provide long-term BioAcoustic sound presentation.
For research purposes, clients are generally provided with a loaned Square Two™ Tone Box for 1–2 days to evaluate their responses before deciding whether to purchase a unit for personal use.
